Glen Eden and Green Bay: repair, refit or refresh.

Not every flooring job needs a whole room of new carpet. If yours has been lifted for renovations, has loose areas or needs finishing at a new doorway, start by showing Scott Flooring what has changed. Based in Massey and serving Glen Eden and Green Bay, this owner-operated service welcomes small jobs as well as new carpet and vinyl installations.

Jobs welcome

Start with what you want to keep.

  • Carpet lifted for building work that needs fitting back
  • Loose carpet to assess for re-stretching
  • A changed doorway or edge where two floor finishes meet
  • A single room of new carpet when a refit is not suitable

Before quoting

Three useful photos for a repair enquiry.

01

The whole room

Stand back far enough to show the room and the affected area. Describe whether the carpet was lifted for work or became loose during use.

02

The edge or doorway

Include the join, skirting or new threshold, plus any adjoining flooring. These details help explain what needs finishing.

03

Any spare carpet

Photograph offcuts and note their approximate size. Keep them until the installer has checked whether they could be useful; a suitable repair cannot be promised from a photo alone.

Local answers

Helpful answers for Glen Eden & Green Bay flooring enquiries.

Can you fit my carpet back after a wall has been removed?

Send a photo of the altered area and any spare carpet. The remaining material, new room shape and edges need checking before a refit or join can be confirmed. If a refit will not give a suitable finish, Scott Flooring can explain replacement options.

Will re-stretching fix every loose carpet?

Not necessarily. The carpet, underlay, fixings and cause of the movement need assessing first. Describe where it is loose and when you noticed it so the visit can focus on the problem.

Can I ask for both repair and replacement options?

Yes. Say what you would prefer to keep and what result you want. Where both approaches are practical, ask for the scope of each so you can make a clear comparison.

Do you also install new vinyl in Glen Eden and Green Bay?

Yes. New carpet, sheet vinyl and LVT enquiries are welcome alongside refits and re-stretching. Share the room size, existing surface and whether you need materials supplied or fitting only.
