Do you install hardwood flooring?
No. Scott Flooring does not install hardwood flooring. Timber-look flooring offered here means vinyl or LVT, not solid timber or engineered wood.
Can you fit flooring in a tiny home or granny flat?
Yes. Carpet, sheet vinyl and LVT enquiries are welcome for tiny homes and granny flats in West Auckland. Send the floor plan or approximate room sizes, photos of the existing floor and access details. Product suitability, preparation and the full supply or installation scope are confirmed in your quote.
Can you supply flooring materials as well as install them?
Yes. Scott Flooring can quote for flooring materials and installation together. Discuss the flooring type, colours, availability and preparation before ordering. If you already have materials, installation-only enquiries are also welcome, subject to checking the material and subfloor.
What if my old flooring might contain asbestos?
Do not lift, sand, scrape or otherwise disturb suspect flooring or adhesive. Tell Scott Flooring before work starts so the need for an appropriate assessment can be discussed. Any required specialist asbestos work must be resolved before flooring preparation or installation proceeds.
What if I already have the flooring?
Send Scott Flooring the product name, quantity, room details and a photo. The material and subfloor need checking before installation can be confirmed. You do not need to choose a product from this website to ask about your job.
What should my installation quote include?
Ask for the flooring and installation scope, preparation, trims, any removal and disposal, access and timing to be clear. Tell Scott Flooring about furniture, stairs and your existing floor so the quote can account for the work you need.
Can you refit carpet after renovation work?
Refitting and re-stretching enquiries are welcome. Send photos of the affected area so your installer can discuss the condition of the carpet and whether it may be suitable to reuse.
How much will installation cost?
The room size, flooring type, existing surface, preparation, stairs and access affect the price. Send your job details for a measure and quote that reflects the actual work, rather than a price that leaves out necessary preparation.
